Hey look… I’m posting on a Wednesday, only 2 days after I last posted… what is this, 2001?!
Well a lot has happened since I posted on Monday. The “snowpcalypse” was no joke. This is the most snow I’ve seen here in… possibly decades?

Wow! And it kept snowing like crazy the rest of the afternoon, too.
So I figured since I get off at 3, Chase is home from work… let’s finally take some Hoth Leia pics in the snow. Since making it in 2006 I haven’t felt like we’ve ever had ENOUGH snow to look good. Also at this point, if part of the costume gets ruined in the snow… good because I need to remake it and that would be a good impetus to do so.

Tuesday was more of the same. Chase had a second snow day, but decided to try to venture to the grocery store for a few things we needed. He made it to the store ok, but then coming back up the hill into our cove proved difficult. He had to circle and back up and edge forward for about 10 minutes before finally managed to just barely get the car into the driveway. So no more of that. He did go to work today – but his boss picked him up.
Yesterday after I got off work Chase wanted to walk over to the lake to look at it. It’s frozen over.
I was just walking around the snow and seeing what the deepest patches I could find when I hear Chase fall. He slipped down a little hill (while on facetime with his dad), it wasn’t bad, he just kinda sat down in the snow and slid a bit, no injuries. When he got up he had mud all over his butt LOL. It was funny.
Also my skylights in my sewing room have snow on them, which makes the light in there very weird.
So that brings me to the tiktok portion of today’s post.
“But wait, I thought you weren’t posting this week!”
You’re right, but after having an unplanned photoshoot I decided to first throw that Hoth Leia snow video up on Monday afternoon. It didn’t get to the FYP at all. 98% of views from my followers, 1% from profile. 363 likes.
Then yesterday when I got the photos back from Chase, I made a little slideshow of my favs, and I changed my profile pic to one of the pics. Didn’t even think about the fact I was holding a toy hasbro stormtrooper blaster in the photo (since I’ve posted videos with it and other fake space blasters dozens of times since being on tiktok with no issues). Within 5 minutes tiktok had removed it and given me a “community guidelines violation”. Which, ok, I’ll accept that, even if it’s not a real gun, I’m fine with them removing the profile pic and slapping me on the hand. But they won’t let me upload a new profile pic – editing my profile is “locked” for an indeterminate amount of time (googling suggests a week?) and I can’t even put my previous profile pic back up.
It gave me the option to appeal the violation, so I did, writing in the comment box that I wouldn’t put that pic back up but it was a toy and please unlock my profile so I can put a new pic up. It was immediately denied so I know no human looked at my appeal.
My biggest beef though was that after my appeal was denied, when I tried to change my profile pic again, instead of saying “due to a community guideline violation” it now says “due to MULTIPLE community guideline violations.” What MULTIPLE???
So I sent a help request in asking hoping a person would actually look at it and not a bot. No response and I don’t expect one since other questions I’ve sent in have been ignored.
It’s just so frustrating. My account seems OK otherwise – I had been planning on doing some live drawing on tiktok last night before all this, so I still did it just to make sure I could, no issues there, had a few viewers coming and going. I had to stop the live feed to go help Chase with something – when I came back about a half hour later and went live again, this time no viewers at all so I think tiktok did not let my followers know I was live the second time. Switched over to instagram live to finish the drawing until my phone died.
But yeah I won’t be posting again for at least a week. Not until I can put a pfp back up. I’ve got the 4 dressing videos in my drafts and I had planned to record some more stuff with Kevin this weekend. I’m really wondering what this “violation” will make my engagement look like when I start posting again. Will I be shadowbanned? Thinking I may HAVE to move over to my second account after this.
I’m just tired of being frustrated by this stupid stuff. None of it is important but it’s like one my few outlets for being creative and connecting with people so it bothers me.
Also I’m going to have to recut the Hoth Leia dressing video to remove the clips with the blaster I guess. Or maybe I can just cover it up with a cat sticker.
Anyway, here’s what I’ve been drawing the last couple of days and what I was drawing on live.
I wanted to do something quicker and more fun than trying to get an actual likeness.
The Padme I don’t like as much but it’s ok.
I also did a Rey that’s not finished and I don’t know if I will finish it. It’s close enough that I think I will but I need to order a new 108 first.
